Gallery: Chunky knitwear

You may have noticed the weather turning extremely wintry in the last few days, and while I’m busy getting overexcited about the snow, freezing temperatures outside also means we need to wrap up as warm as possible. Chunky knitwear is one of the best ways to keep out the chill (after thermals, of course, but any fashionista worth her Chanel 2.55 wouldn’t admit to wearing long johns) so we’ve found some fashionable but toasty knitwear to warm you up.

We’re loving the idea of layering knits on top of knits, especially with some of the amazing textured and patterned cardigans and sweaters available now. And if you’re feeling especially fashion-conscious, why not top it all off with a cosy snood. It may have a name that sounds like it should belong to a Muppet, but it’s probably the most on-trend way to dress your neck this season.

Smart Christmas outfits for posh parties

We’ve been inspired by the outfits Lara wore in her Vogue photoshoot and it’s really given us a feel for Christmas party outfits.

At some point in the month, or even perhaps New Years Eve, we’ll have to put on more than a pair of jeans to go to a party, especially if its a big posh do. But we know finding an outfit that doesn’t look too mumsy or too over the top can be hard.

We’ve therefore put together a gallery of smart Christmas party outfits, which will have you looking like the stylish belle of the ball, and remember, you don’t have to wear a long frock to look the posh part either.

Cat Deeley and Monsoon.jpgIt’s official, celebs are hitting the high street like the rest of us. We spotted Cat Deeley looking gorgeous and stylish in this £100 coat from Monsoon.

Although the TV presenter has been away from our shores for a while, we’ve been keeping an eye on her style and we’re pleased to see living in LA hasn’t stopped her buying the good old British brands.

If you want to get Cat’s look head down to Monsoon now, and then hit the rest of the highstreet for a pair of skinny jeans and flat ankle boots.
