MySpace Fashion Presents The FIT with Paris Hilton

Here is something to really make you feel depressed about the recession (sorry!) Paris Hilton opens up her gigantic closet to the folks at MySpace’s The Fit. It reminds me of that scene from Will & Grace when Karen opens up her mammoth wardrobe to show Jack. And if you can look past Paris’s constant posing and flogging of her products, its a real eye-opener. Like an entire closet dedicated to shoes!

Myspace Fashion gets a makeover

We use Myspace primarily to listen to music or check out new bands, doing most of our social networking (slagging off) on Facebook (join our blog network!) and Twitter (follow us!). But we might be lured to spending more time on the ‘space with all the new fashion content they have planned.

The site will now have fun daily features like Behind the Seams, which showcases fashion industry personalities, Fresh Face Friday to introduce new design talent and (possibly our favorite) Exclusive Discount Thursday, when users will have access to discount codes for retailers like Revolve Clothing and singer 22.

Plus, the site will be collaborating with a site we love, whowhatweardaily, which definitely bodes well! Check it out this month and let us know what you think!

Myspace Artist on Artist: Marc Jacobs and Jennifer Jason Leigh

This Friday you can go to MySpace (like you’re not there every day, especially Fridays) to check out Marc Jacobs and actress Jennifer Jason Leigh’s interviews of one another. Coincidentally, or not so very, Jennifer featured in the Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2006 campaign, photographed by Juergen Teller. The Artist on Artist MySpaceTV series takes two successful artists and asks them to interview each other. Other pairings you can watch include the creators of Heatherette and Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters and Jessica Alba and Dane Cook.

MySpace Launches New Fashion Channel

If you’re already addicted to MySpace, you’re really in trouble now that they’ve launched their new fashion channel. Along with fashion show coverage, MySpace and Nylon team up to offer The Fit, where you get to watch how a celebrity stylist dresses your favorite stars. The clip shown above features stylist Johnny Wujek dressing the Plastiscines for a show and afterparty. This will probably be a great resource during fashion week; videos are always better than photos to help you see how a garment moves and reflects light.
