Glitterati at Chanel Haute Couture show

By Andrea Thatcher on January 23rd, 2008

The stylishly sophisticated decended apon the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris on Tuesday. Above we have Clemence Poesy (yes, that’s Fleur from the Harry Potter films) looking a bit confused, or perhaps just French. The use of color is great, remember this if you want to incorporate spring brights into your wardrobe early. Sophia Coppola wore a brown fur topper over an all-black ensemble, looking particularly weather appropriate for a celebrity. Natalia Vodianova and Justin Portman are looking a bit windblown; we’re glad to see Natalia wearing a chic coat, but her legs must be freezing. And finally Claudia Schiffer – after all these years we still love her hair more than anything.

Natalia Vodianova the new face of Diane Von Furstenberg, and the first in a while

By Andrea Thatcher on December 19th, 2007

Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova is set to become the face of the spring DVF campaign – the first ad campaign the label has run in a while.

The pictures were shot last week in Manhattan by François-Marie Banier. Both model and photographer then attended the Guggenheim’s annual Young Artist’s Ball on Thursday where she told Fashion Week Daily: “Diane is an amazing and gracious woman, and to work with her was a true pleasure”.

“She’s done a lot for American fashion, and she’s just such a style icon. Plus her clothes feel like second skin,” she added. The duo is pictures above at The Naked Heart Foundation Auction And Cocktail Party in 2004.

The former Calvin Klein model will also appear next spring in promotional video for Louis Vuitton joining a bevy of supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Stephanie Seymour. Guess she’s getting those three kiddies’ college funds in order. Except her husband is a real-estate heir and the half-brother of a Viscount. Maybe it’s the free clothes.

By Andrea Thatcher on December 6th, 2007

Is this kind of like me showing up to watch other bloggers write? Probably not, but it’s funny to see so many models arrivingn to watch a fashion show. Claudia Schiffer, Lily Cole, and Natalia Vodianova were all front row (and quite a front row it was) at the Chanel Paris-Londres pre-fall collection show today. You can catch the video on Frillr but be warned you’ll want to fast forward through 20 minutes of people milling around and the camera is kind of too far away to really see the clothes.
