Carrying on from our top 10 fashion moments of 2010, I’m looking at some of the highlights of the various Fashion Weeks that have happened this year. From Alexander McQueen’s first runway show under the direction of Sarah Burton, to the oil-slick punk aesthetic at Balenciaga and classic Parisian style at Chanel, each show has been a joy to cover. But when I got down to it and racked my brains for all the collections I’ve pored over in the last year, I’ve found that the five collections in the gallery below have been particularly special. Check them out below. If you have any other collections this year that you think especially deserve a mention, have your say and leave us a comment below.

Mollie King, along with the rest of The Saturdays singers, has rarely been out of the spotlight this month.
She’s been spotted partying the night away, on TV shows promoting the next Saturdays singles, and of course just out and about.
However, one thing that really makes the singer stand out is her amazing wardrobe, which consists of pieces, which can be dressed up or down. She’s also a big fan of the nautical, denim shorts and bodycon dress trends often being spotted giving a nod to these styles.
And yesterday she showcased them again when she was spotted out and about in London wearing this classic Breton stripe sailor top from hot London label, Upper 5th.

The military look is so in right now. It seems as though pea coats are everywhere! Following this summer’s nautical trend, buttoned-up military looks are hot for fall. This peacoat by Martin Grant is a refershing departure from hum-drum navy in winter white ecru. The jacket is roomy enough that you can wear it over your fave sweater. It’s made in France and will keep you oh-so-toasty during those chilly autumn nights. $1,575.00 at Barneys.
