By Kimberley Foster on April 29th, 2008

lydiaongg.jpg

Here’s the first sneak peek at model Lydia Hearst playing ‘Amelia’ in the new episodes of Gossip Girl. We blogged last week about the socialite’s star role in the hit TV show, and from the looks of this shot, it appears as though she has her eyes set on playboy Chuck (Ed Westwick). Due to air in the US on 19th May, Hearst’s character will be involved with Bart and Lilly’s wedding.

New York Fashion Week: Erin Fetherston

By Gemma on February 2nd, 2008

fetherston1.jpg

If you didn’t know Erin Fetherston (above centre) before 2007, you probably do now after her recent Target ‘Go International’ collection. The designer is known for her pretty, feminine and youthful clothes, and this collection – observed from the front row by Anne Hathaway – stuck to the tried-and-tested formula she’s had so much success with so far, adding a touch of darkness with a muted, autumnal palette. Not so much a collection for hard-edged fashionistas as something for the young and stylish to aspire to, the bold and beautiful floral dresses, trademark mini dresses and mixed textures gave girly looks a wintery twist.

With 283 women’s shoes to look at, you can pick boots, flats, platforms, or pumps and browse through pictures. The options are unique and have obviously been picked out by hand by someone very in the know. The David Bootie by Pink Studio, $99, is reminiscent of the Balenciaga witch boots Mary Kate Olsen wouldn’t be seen without, and the graduated patent leather pump by Prada, $550, is sure to become a museum-worthy piece someday.

“Gossip Girl” features clothing by Lorick

By Andrea Thatcher on October 12th, 2007

Blair.JPG
In this past week’s episode of “Gossip Girl,” Blair’s mother Eleanor needed to pick the new model for her clothing line. While the fight between Blair and Serena broke out about who got to be the face of the collection, the clothing stayed proper and polite, feminine, and very pretty. To show this kind of Upper East Side style, “Gossip Girl” producers picked a real New York based label to represent the clothing Eleanor designed. Lorick designer Abigail Lorick’s spring collection was used on “Gossip Girl” to show real Upper East style.
