Oscars 2011 red carpet fashion:Yay or Nay? Cate Blanchett’s frock

We’re head over heels over Cate Blanchett’s Oscar dress, but we know it’s not to everyone’s taste.
Well known for her kooky style, Cate pulled off this stunning light lilac backless frock by Givenchy.

However, unlike many others the detailing didn’t stop there. Yellow beading formed the back straps of this chiffon number, while cut out detailing in the middle really made this frock stand out.
