Who is the most stylish British celebrity?

By Andrea Petrou on March 25th, 2010

With so many fashionable American celebs making the style headlines (think Lady Gaga and Jennifer Aniston) Brit girls often take a back seat.

Although they may spend time in Hollywood, stars such as Emma Watson, Kate Moss and Kate Winslet all fly the flag for UK fashionable females, always looking stunning in red carpet frocks as well as casual attire.

So we felt that it was time to really bring these ladies to the forefront of the fashion world and put together a gallery of who we think are the top ten most stylish British celebrities.

And as always we want to hear from you. View the gallery below and then vote on your favourite UK style queen. The winner will get her own personal write up with a gallery of her top styles.

And as always, if you have anything more you’d like to add leave your comments in the box below.

Fashion Face-Off: Red dress rivals Eva Longoria Parker VS Sarah Harding at the Noble Gift Gala

By Andrea Petrou on March 15th, 2010

Face off sarahsmall.jpg

We bet Eva Longoria Parker thought she’d be the only lady in red when she hosted the Noble Gift Gala in a Ralph and Russo frock last night.

However she must have been slightly mortified when Sarah Harding turned up in a not so different off the shoulder frock in the same shade (hands up who’s had that happen at a party before).

We’re not too sure where Sarah’s frock is from – it’s still a bit too early for her management to be up – and we’re also not quite decided who carries off the red asymmetrical look best.

So we’ve decided to enlist your help here. Vote below and let us know who rocked it best in red last night.

Victoria Beckham hints at her Oscar 2010 dress

By Andrea Petrou on March 7th, 2010

Victorias catwalk dress.jpg

We’ve been guessing about what A-list celebrities will be wearing for tonight’s Oscars, and although we know many will be wearing ones from various designers we’re still slightly in the dark.

Thankfully Victoria has gone some way to ease our curiousness, if her claims in today’s Sunday Times are anything to go by.

Speaking about her A/W 2010 collection the singer, turned all round fashionista said: “Dick Tracy and the 1940s have inspired my [latest] collection.”

She then went on to pinpoint a nude off the shoulder frock [pictured], which she claimed was the “perfect red-carpet dress.

“I’m tempted to wear it to the Oscars myself,” she added.

So will other celebrities be thinking along the same style lines? Keep reading for our live Oscar coverage later on tonight to find out.

Oscar Fashions through the eras: 1960s to 1980s

By Andrea Petrou on March 5th, 2010

As the eras continued, the glitz and the glamour of the Oscars still remained. There was more sparkle, higher heels and lower cleavages.

Some actresses were also that little bit more daring, opting for never been heard of before trouser suits.

However one thing the 60s-80s bought us were amazing stars, such as Bridget Fonda, who began winning Oscar awards in 1970, and Meryl Streep, who still continues to pick up these awards.

Marc Bouwer, Reem Acra and Isabela Toledo sketch the Obamas’ inauguration outfits

By Kimberley Foster on November 13th, 2008

Right now “it’s every designer’s dream to dress Michelle Obama,” according to Marc Bouwer. The New York designer was asked by PEOPLE to sketch their creations for the future First Lady and family, if they were ever offered the opportunity. Bouwer’s design (above) takes inspiration from Michelle’s “modern approach to dressing.”

“She’s probably the most body-conscious dresser out of any First Lady we’ve had, and her clothes have a more modern silhouette,” he said. “The designer who gets this will snag a major part of history. This will be remembered now and for forever.”
