Get the look: Jessica Alba’s Global Green pre 2010 Oscar party pink dress

By Andrea Petrou on March 4th, 2010

This weekend stars galore will be hitting the red carpet for one of the most talked about events for the year. The Oscars.

However although the party doesn’t officially begin until Sunday, the great hype surrounding it is already underway, and in true Hollywood style pre-parties are springing up everywhere.

One such party is the 7th annual Global Green pre-Oscar party, which was held at Avalon
Los Angeles, last night. And the rain didn’t stop stars from attending.

One celeb braving the weather was Jessica Alba who turned up alongside husband Cash Warren hiding under a huge umbrella.

However it wasn’t that which caught our eye. It was her gorgeous pink chiffon short V front frock complete with capped sleeves and a black sash and strappy sandals. We think the Sin City star looks stunning and has got the smart/casual look spot on for a pre-party.

We’ve therefore put together a gallery of similar frocks and shoes to help you get that perfect party look.

Armani designs a replica frock to the one worn by Megan Fox at the Russian Transformers 2 premier

By Andrea Petrou on December 14th, 2009

Megan pink.jpgMany designers would be pleased just to have a well known actress grace their advertising campaigns but Armani has gone that extra step when it comes to its model Megan Fox.

The designer has created an exact replica of the star’s Giorgio Armani Prive pink dress, which she wore to the Russian premier of Transformers 2 just in time for the Christmas season.

We also think the strapless number resembles the frock Sarah Jessica Parker wore to the Did You Hear about The Morgans? Premier.

We understand why the brand would want to go all out for the actress who replaced Victoria Beckaham as the face of Armani Lingerie for 2010 a few months ago and we think she’ll make an amazing model for the brand.

However, we wish the designer would try and please us too by making his designs that little bit more affordable. £600 is just a little bit too much by our shopping standards unless of course it miraculously turns us into a Megan Fox look-a-like.

ShinyStyle Star: Zooey Deschanel at ‘The Happening’ premiere

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on June 11th, 2008

We couldn’t love Zooey Deschanel’s style any more, so we’re super excited she’s hit a busy period red carpet-wise.

Last week was the release of her latest indie flick “The Go Getter” and then over the weekend she was seen looking adorable at LAX.

Last night she put her glam rags on for the premiere of M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening.” Love the pop of bright pink color against Deschanel’s pale skin and dark hair, and we’re glad to see the bubble hem isn’t going anywhere if someone of this style caliber is still sporting it.

J. Crew spring preview

The J. Crew catalog always manages to brainwash me into thinking I’m more outdoorsy than I truly am. When I get their winter catalog, all I can think of is ski vacations and time spent by the fire. And I want to fill my wardrobe with staples for such an existence, even though I usually only get one weekend in the mountains and have no fireplace.

Then, come the spring/summer catalog I see days at the beach stretching before me and cocktail parties on expansive lawns in Hampton-esque glamour. Needless to say, I barely get to the beach anymore, and my cocktail hour is more likely to be in a bar.

But who says you can’t dress aspirationally – keep reading for how to dress for the life you want instead of the one you have.
