The number one place to be on Monday night was at the opening of the new D&G flagship store in Los Angeles. Dolce & Gabbana certainly have some fine young thangs for pals, inviting a plethora of young Hollywood stars to their glitzy bash on Robertson Blvd. The opening also doubled as a charity event, to raise funds for The Art of Elysium – a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children. Among the high-profile guests were Rachel Bilson, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Lauren Conrad, Rumer Willis, and Paris and Nicky Hilton. From Catwalk Queen:Taking a leaf out of Justin Timberlake’s William Rast book is Rachel Bilson who stars in the ad campaign for her own clothing label, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.
The actress appears in the ads alongside models, Fabienne Vanderhaeghen, Regina Feoktistova and Giedre Dukaskaitein. Photographed against a New York backdrop, the début line will launch in time for back-to-school.

Rachel Bilson has one of the most sought-after and oft-copied personal styles in young Hollywood, not to mention one of the least tacky and most age-appropriate. So we’re thrilled that the former O.C. babe has teamed up with someone else familiar to the teen market – DKNY Jeans.
Bilson and DKNY Jeans are set to collaborate on a junior sportswear line called Edie Rose. (Just like Kohls and Avril Lavigne, Bilson’s won’t be on the label … interesting. More on that over at Catwalk Queen.)
But don’t worry, Bilson won’t be completely invisible, she will star in the advertising to debut this fall.
“I am just amazed at how the team at DKNY Jeans were able to listen to my ideas and come out with exactly what I was talking about. They literally brought my ideas to life,” Bilson told WWD. “I also want to show people that you don’t have to pay a million dollars for clothes that look good. You don’t have to spend a lot to get a great look.”
The Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans label will consist of a 15-piece collection featuring button-down tops, sweaters, jackets, T-shirts, dresses and two jeans styles – a straight leg and a skinny leg.

There was a glittering red carpet in L.A. last night, even if it didn’t lead to the Golden Globes. The Art of Elysium’s “Heaven: Celebrating 10 Years” anniversary gala was held and many stars turned out in glamorous frocks.
Rachel Bilson and Ali Larter chose to wear white, and it’s refreshing to see two young stars wear white with such youthful freshness and not look like they’re going down the aisle. Bilson wore a long white silk gown, while Larter chose a dropped waist 1920s style down with spaghetti straps, adorned with a flow at the waist.

Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson glittered at the Spike TV Video Game Awards last week. We’re guessing the duo appealed to this crowd because of Bell’s pitch-perfect portrayal of witty girl detective Veronica Mars, and her new role as Elle on Heroes, and Bilson fans probably remember her superhero alterego Little Miss Vixen on The O.C. But what appeals to us is their sparkling outfits! They both choose a good route for the petite: Bell keeps the sparkle more subtle in a short, strapless dress while Bilson opts for brighter sequins in a smaller garment, keeping the bottom basic black.

While the trailers for Awake have been freaking us out, the fashions of Rachel Bilson and Jessica Alba on the red carpet for the premiere made sister blog Catwalk Queen freak out in a good way, and we agree. Rachel (on the red carpet in support of her rumored boyfriend Hayden?) wore a white and blue strapless dress, cinched in the waist with a black belt. The dress with the blue accent was a modern twist on monochrome. Jessica opted for a chic little black lace mini dress, paired with opaque tights and silver Manolo Blahnik’s adorned with a little bling. Who looked better?

After cooling down her front row presence for seasons, Kirsten Dunst made an appearance at the Chanel show in Paris on Friday. She apparently attended the show because Karl Lagerfeld and the fashion house was hosting a party for her later at their couture salons. The party was in honor of Kirsten’s guest editorship of Lula Magazine, and Audrey Tautou, and Rachel Bilson all came out to congratulate the temporary editrix.
