Christian Dior Cruise S/S ’09 show: Charlize Theron, Leighton Meester & Christina Aguilera

Like all good Dior shows there is bound to be a slew of famous faces sitting in the front row, and last night’s cruise ’09 show was no different. The event attracted the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, Leighton Meester, Tinsley Mortimer, Rachel Zoe and Christina Aguilera. By far the best dressed on the night was Theron who looked stunning in a frilled purple modified dress hot off the runway from the collection. Likewise, Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester wowed in a lime green pleated piece from the label’s autumn ’07 range.

It’s no surprise that with the writers strike cancelling events like the Golden Globes, loads of celebs have been turning up at Fashion Week in an attempt to grab some column inches, support their favourite designers and pick out their next premiere outfits. Here’s just a taster of who’s been spotted so far…

Style.com’s comparison of Style Guides by Victoria Beckham, Rachel Zoe & Anne Fogarty

style%20guides.jpg The fashionistas at Style.com decided to test the new style guides, Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe and That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between by Victoria Beckham, against the 50-year-old classic Wife Dressing by Anne Fogarty. Of course, some of Fogarty’s advice is outdated, but it seems that much of it actually still holds true! Learn Beckham’s, Zoe’s and Fogarty’s take on everything fashion from jeans to traveling to the little black dress. Zoe seemed to agree more with 1950s Fogarty than Beckham on many issues like revealing bra straps, but then again, your fashion depends on the look you’re going for–elegant vs. mod. Catwalk Queen reported that Matalan’s new womenswear brands and ‘Et Vous’ has hit the shelves.

According to Shoewawa, stylist Rachel Zoe lists the five types of shoes every woman should own: timeless patent, simple riding boots, stunning red shoes, fabulous flats, and wild animal print.

Tiffany’s has announced plans to make their jewelery accessible to more people by opening smaller stores with new ranges available, reports The Bag Lady.

And in case you missed it, Shiny Style reported that Ann Taylor has just launched a maternity collection.
