On last weeks Oprah show, Cindy Crawford said that she likes designers before they go mainsteam. But after her segment, it’s certain that Italian bag designer Mauro Zagliani might be getting pretty close to mainstream. It looks like Crawford and J. Lo aren’t the only ones clamoring for this costly tote. Saks, the exclusive retailer has reported that the darker Python style featured on the show is a goner! Completly sold out, Saks is only taking pre-orders on the lighter Metallic color which retails for $2800. So, if you want the bag, high price tag and all, you better get to Saks soon. Otherwise, you’ll be forced to hang on to your $2800. Hmmm…is that such a bad thing?

With party season just around the corner, reassembling the holiday wardrobe might be the next project to tackle–only after your wishlistmaking, of course. Just in time for holiday revelry, Sak’s Fifth Avenue is busy discounting some of the season’s latest and greatest dresses, especially the little black numbers that easily become a wardrobe staple regardless of season. If you’re looking for one or two (or three) chic and elegant additions to the party wardrobe, here are a few great finds from Sak’s:
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness this October, Sak’s Fifth Avenue is dedicating October 18-21 to the cause by offering a special shopping experience; Sak’s stores will donate 1% of in-store sales and 2% of online sales towards breast cancer research organizations, and the ‘Viva La Cure’ t-shirt is already available for purchase. The t-shirt is designed by Juicy Couture, a comfortable long-sleeve cotton tee, and 100% of the profits will also be donated to various programs.

Art and travel are designer Kaia Peterka’s most influental inspirations. Born in Oslo to a Norwegian mother and Czech father, Kaia’s admiration for design was influenced greatly by her frequent travels and cultural exploration. Her fun and exclusive line of handbags, available at Kaia Peterka, Saks Fifth Ave and select boutiques, represent her ability to combine a love of fashion with a bit of her upbringing. Her impressive collection of clutches exude style and fabulous skins. The clutches are offered in many combinations with three styles to pick from—the Virtue, Starlet, and Opera—offering an endless selection of leathers, brocades, silks and lace.

From October 18th to the 21st all Saks stores and Saks.com will donate 2% of sales to women’s cancer charities and Off 5th stores will donate 1% of sales up to $1 million to local and national women’s cancer charities. In addition, all proceeds from the sale of Juicy Couture’s limited edition T-shirt will benefit the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. The long-sleeve white T-shirts reading “viva la cure” will be available for $35 in sizes S-XL. “Key To The Cure” is a great way to extend support to a very worthy cause.
