Sit down ladies because we’ve got a treat that will cheer you up on this gloomy Monday morning.
Debenhams has given us a sneak preview of a one-off print created by Henry Holland, featuring the faces of winning entrants to a competition.
The highstreet store has been searching for the faces of Henry Holland’s next exclusive design to be used on a handbag and scarf for the Autumn H! By Henry Holland range. And the winners were chosen by Mr H himself.
We love the new designs, which are a funky purple, black and white composite of the winners’ photos on a newspaper background, sporting slogan headlines such as, “The IT crowd” and “Beauty and the street”. And although we weren’t lucky enough to get our faces on the items, it won’t put us off buying them when they hit stores in July.
If you can’t wait that long check out the designer’s current range at Debenhams now.
It’s getting closer and closer to the winter and that means we’ll soon be digging out our scarves, hats and gloves in a bid to stay that little bit warmer.
I love my scarves as much as the next girl and if I had it my way I’d have a few designer ones in my wardrobe ready to protect me from the biting chill of the ice and wind.
So when I stumbled upon this scarf by QS, I was thrilled. Not only does it look warm but I’m sure you’ll agree its very similar to the Missoni one pictured below.
Yes there are few differences, but its notably the price. My QS find is £4, compared to the £99 Missoni is asking for. Bargain.

It certainly seems like the laid-back attitude and midwestern location of the Sundance Film Festival has stars letting their style guard down. Trying to stay warm may be another part of it, as seen by the variety of outerwear above. Scarves and hats are always big cold-weather style staples, as seen alone or in combination on all the girls above. For who’s wearing what where, keep reading.

The Washington Post is of the mind that the scarves on Balenciaga‘s fall runways are going to change the way we look at and wear the accessories this winter. While the look on the left is perhaps an accurate portrayal of what East Coasters end up looking like in the winter, we’re thinking that without the uber-tailored look, 6-foot frame, and designer styling (and with snot frozen to your face) it’s not going to look so fashionable and suggest trying to emulate the look on the right. For the details on the wrappers we’ve chosen, keep reading.

I love Hermes’ collection of vintage-style scarves. Styles start at about $250 and include cashmere, silk and twill prints. They pair well with some dark denim and a cream-colored light sweater or long-sleeve tee. Also wear them around your head on bad hair days! Scarves are an easy, fun accessory that can help make an important statement. Just knot and go!
Scarves are a classic trend worn throughout fashion history, mostly around the neck for a sophisticated look. But now scarves are being used to decorate handbags, hats, and even worn as clothing. If you have a thing for scarves and neckerchiefs, then I highly recommend you check out Marisol Deluna’s beautiful styles. Famous for designing the official scarf and tie for the City of New York, the Association of Junior Leagues International, and the American Yacht Club, Marisol has also had the honor of Queen Elizabeth II wearing her scarves. Aside from her renowned collection, she also creates customized designs to fit your style or special occasion–from scarves to handbags. If you’re new to scarf-wearing, or want to learn new styles, Marisol has a great tying tutorial to create the latest looks. All made of smooth silk twill, her scarves are available for around $75 each.

Take a look at Britney Spears on the cover of US Weekly. She went from Haute Mama to Hot Mess with her oversized sunglasses and headscarf. Nicole Richie is also working the headscarf and oversized sunglasses look. A little accessorizing is cool, but these otherwise pretty girls are covering up their beauty with way too much of a good thing.
