Reader Barbara wrote in to our 10 Outfits for 10 Occasions contest for advice to a common problem. She loves her strappy heels, especially when dressing up for New Year’s Eve, but feels uncomfortable when she’s taller than her boyfriend. Luckily there is no shortage of fancy flats out there this holiday season. I love Cate Blanchett’s dazzling Vivienne Westwood dress she wore yesterday to the London red carpet premiere of her latest movie, Elizabeth: The Golden Age. The Aussie actress’ strapless, curve-hugging sequined number looks amazing on her figure, and the shine is just right for the season.
