Kate Moss expected at Topshop U.S. opening

katemoss_hollywoodmove.jpgAfter countless delays and months of setbacks, (“a logistical nightmare,” according to Sir Philip Green), we are now thismuchcloser to the opening of Topshop USA.

Not only that, Page Six reports that Kate Moss is expected to attend the grand opening on 1st April, at the flagship store in New York’s SoHo district.

It’s no surprise considering her collection is already being stocked and waiting for mass consumer assumption inside the store. Indeed, she gets her own special boutique, which will soon stock her new lingerie line.

Topshop delays New York launch… but we will get an e-commerce website soon!

topshop_newyorkdelayed.jpgWith all the hoopla of New York Fashion Week upon us, I know that the last thing on your minds right now is Topshop. But I felt it my duty to tell you that we will have to wait an extra month for the opening of Topshop’s debut U.S. store, as it has been delayed.

This 40,000 square foot giant-mega land of shopping, which will eventually open its doors in Soho, is experiencing several setbacks in the race to get going by the holiday season. However, it’s not all bad news…

Are you ready New York? Topshop is a ‘comin….

New York is about to be injected with a good ole’ dose of British retailing when the first Topshop US store opens on October 10th. Rolling out the first phase of his new ‘baby’ is Sir Philip Green, who arrived in Manhattan this week to begin publicity, and to scout out new sites. A design of the flagship store, located at 478 Broadway (pictured above) has also been unveiled. This coupled with a preview of Topshop’s and Topman’s fall collections, held at Industria Studios today, will help to officially kick things off.

Sir Philip Green spills the beans on Topshop US

Can you feel the excitement for Topshop US building? We can! Last week we told you when the launch date was for the new Broadway store – 10th October – that’s a diary date folks! Now Topshop boss, Sir Philip Green has revealed more about what we can expect from his first US store. “It’s got to be English — we’re not going to give it an American twist,” he said during a viewing of Topshop’s new fall collection in London.

New Japanese no brand-name superstore, Muji, opens in SoHo Friday

Don’t get me wrong–I love designer fashions, but sometimes a t-shirt is just a t-shirt and shouldn’t be $50 just because of a logo printed across the front. So, for those everyday wardrobe basics like shirts and socks, we thought you should know about the opening of Muji, the generic superstore that will be selling everything from packs of three tees for $20, kitchen tools for $5 and complete bed sheet sets for $30.
