The Q Awards: Jessie J, Pam Hogg and more

By Andrea Petrou on October 25th, 2011

London took on a rock theme last night as the stars came out for the Q Awards. Leading the fashion was Jessie J who turned up in a trademark black bodysuit, tights and a biker jacket.

She was followed by Lana Del Rey who also sported the biker jacket over a white and yellow frock.

The Pierces went all girly in velvet frocks and Laura Whitmore also played it safe in  denim. However, Pam Hogg who vamped up the night in a black PVC number in a figure we would kill for.

X-Factor fashion face off: Cheryl VS Pixie Lott

By Andrea Petrou on September 14th, 2010

With Dannii Minogue still on maternity leave celebrity judges are kicking up a storm on the X-Factor.

Last week the majority said you prefered guest judge Natalie Imbruglia’s style over resident’s Cheryl, but will she still be out in the cold this week when we pit her against this weekend’s helper Pixie Lott?

As Pixie fans will already know, this singer’s style is more quirky than chic. She’s well known for her flat boots and knee high socks, and most recently has been channelling the stockings look, which is a favourite style of Taylor Momsen.

In contrast Cheryl’s style is more conventional and “polished”, with the starlet opting for little dresses, smart shorts and heels.

But who do you think is the most stylish,? View the gallery and then vote below to let us know.

Trend Alert: The new backpack

By Andrea Petrou on September 10th, 2010

By Emily Borrett.

When I started secondary school, you could tell who was cool and who wasn’t by what kind of school bag they had. If you had a shoulder bag, you were cool. If you had a backpack, and wore both straps on your shoulders (as your mum instructed, so you didn’t get a bad back) you weren’t. And yes, I was stuck with the backpack – it was so heavy that I walked like one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I still, to this day, blame that backpack for being so terminally unpopular for the first three years of high school.

But suddenly, a new breed of backpack has appeared. It’s lightweight, chic and a bit of a wink to the 90s “Clueless era” when fresh, preppy schoolgirl style ruled. And when it’s being championed by the likes of Daisy Lowe, the Olsens and The City’s Whitney Port, you know you’re onto a good thing.

Even Chanel’s making them – in lush, buttery-looking quilted leather with the iconic double C emblem. Back to school chic has never been so good. Check the gallery below for some of the best back-candy around at the moment.

Spotted US special: Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Katie Holmes

By Andrea Petrou on September 10th, 2010

Our fashion foray has taken us across the pond to the US today. Earlier this morning we gave you all the fashion gossip from Chanel’s boutique opening in New York’s Soho so we thought we’d continue the trend by giving you a US spotted special.
Throughout the past week, stars have hit the pavements dressed up and down, badly and commendably.

Gwen Stefani was definitely the latter when she was spotted in LA wearing a long tee teamed up with casual black jeans and accessorised with a belt, as was Victoria Beckham who wowed in a cute green dress at LA airport.
Unfortunately not everyone looked as good as these two ladies. Lindsay Lohan took the 80s look a little bit too far with her ripped jeans and checked shirt on a day out shopping, while Miley Cyrus’s knee high socks didn’t really rock our boats (there’s a way to wear this trend Miley).

Back to the good fashion looks, Katie Holmes looked hot in a little printed mini dress and black tights while Sarah Jessica Parker rocked the 80s colour trend in red jeans and a purple top.

See all the US star style in the gallery below and tell us who you think is the best dressed by leaving your comments in the box below.

By Andrea Petrou on June 30th, 2010

Yesterday we bought you some of the star style from Wimbledon, which included Shakira and Jenny Frost. However, sometimes pictures aren’t enough to really get a true concept of star style so we decided to go that step further and dig out an exclusive video featuring the likes of Trinny Woodall, Little Boots and Jameela Jamil all talking about what they wore to the matches in the Evian VIP suite.

Enjoy ladies, and don’t say we don’t ever do anything for you.

Spotted: Katie Price, Sienna Miller and Amber Le Bon

By Andrea Petrou on June 30th, 2010

We haven’t had a spotted in London round up this week because we’ve been so caught up in the Glastonbury, Harry Potter and Twilight frenzy.

However, although we’ve been preoccupied with these events, celebrity life has continued. Fresh from her stint at Glastonbury over the weekend, Sienna Miller stepped out with Jude Law to continue the drinking and it seems she got the munchies, after she was spotted looking a little bit worse for wear outside a kebab shop later that night. Despite that, we can’t fault her outfit, which consisted of beige high waisted shorts, a crop tee and gorgeous white high Gladiator heels.

Another celebrity, who also looked surprisingly well dressed was Katie Price, aka Jordan, who for once looked great when she stepped out in a stunning pink maxi dress to celebrate her hen night at the Mayfair Hotel last night.

And of course, there were also a few events for the stars to grace. Jameela Jamil stepped out in a cute LBD with a matching hat and killer heels for the Elizabeth Arden 100 party where she was joined by Amber Le Bon who opted for a tribal print maxi dress.

However, Holly Valance played it safe with a black asymmetric frock.
View our gallery for all the London celebrity style over the past few days.
