Spotted: Nicola Roberts, Kate Winslet and Billie Piper

By admin on August 24th, 2010

It’s been a while since we did a round-up  all the celebrities we’ve spotted out and about in London town. However, we’re pleased to say the series is back.

And we’re also really pleased that we’ve kicked started it with some great celebrity spots.

First on our list is the gorgeous Kate Winslet who we spied coming out of her hotel looking casual  in skinny jeans, silver ballet pumps and a black blazer. Nicola Roberts also wowed us earlier today in casual wear at the Harrods launch of her new make-up range Dainty Doll, where she opted for a cute grey tee tucked into a gorgeous pale pink maxi dress.

However we think the “most casual” award goes to one Billie Piper who was snapped in a lime green dressing gown. Although we’d like to say that this was because she was channelling a new trend (we wish we could go out in our PJs) we feel we should point out that she was actually on set of Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

But it wasn’t all casual in the world of celebrity. Last night the Sugababes jazzed it up stepping out in Nobu looking great in bodycon dresses, while Holly Valance vamped up the animal print trend in leopard print leggings, knee high boots and a blazer. However, we’re not quite sure if we like this oufit  or not.

Spotted: Kelly Brook, Eva Herzigova and Rochelle Wiseman

By Andrea Petrou on June 21st, 2010

This weekend celebrities were once again out in force partying the night away and having dinner in A-list top-spots.

Following rumours of her split with rugby player Danny Cipriani, Kelly Brook took to the town in a long sleeved black body-con frock. She was spotted leaving the Cipriani restaurant in Mayfair with a male companion. The pair headed off in a taxi together laughing and joking and Kelly seemed in very good spirits.

Emma Bunton also opted for dinner choosing new A-list haunt Zuma for her night out. The former Spice girl was spotted leaving the restaurant in black trousers and an on-trend turquoise blouse.

Saturday’s singer Rochelle Wiseman was spotted coming out of Whisky Mist in a black dress complete with a biker style jacket and Amelle Barrabah also opted for the LBD look at the pre-Wimbledon party at the Kensington Roof Gardens. She was joined there by ex Eastenders star Preeya Kallidas who went for the same strapless style as the Sugababes star but instead opted for white, which showed off her gorgeous naturally tanned skin.

Just across the road Eva Herzigova also made an appearance in a strapless pink body-con frock to open the famous Harrods sale. However, we’re sure she wasn’t interested in all those half price clothes and bags on offer.

Spotted: Nicola Roberts, Frankie Sandford and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

By Andrea Petrou on June 17th, 2010

Last night celebs were once again out in force enjoying the summer weather and it seems the girl bands were out in force. The Saturdays singers Frankie Sanford and Mollie King stepped out of the Mayfair Hotel – Frankie in jeans and a white tassel top and Mollie in a cute lace top with shorts and skyscraper heels – to enjoy a night out in London. They were followed by Sugababe singer Amelle Barrabah who, like Frankie opted for skinny jeans, which she teamed up with a short white off the shoulder top.

Also going for the skinny jeans look was a teeny tiny Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud who teamed tup her denim with cute ballet shoes and a short sleeved jacket.

Across the other side of London Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went for a traditional sari for the London premier of Raavan, while Sophie Anderton went for a mish mash of a bright cowel neck dress, fishnet tights and boots, which worked perfectly.

Brits special: The white dress trend

By Andrea Petrou on February 17th, 2010
The Brit Awards - Show

There’s always a few trends that stand out at an awards evening and the Brit awards last night were no different highlighting a number of these.

Although it was a dreary February night many attendees opted for a traditionally summer white to make them stand out.

The Brit Awards - Show

Geri Halliwell and Mel B were just two of these, choosing to collect their awards in short white frocks. The colour made a change to Geri’s famous union jack frock, which she famously wore to perform in many years ago.

Newest Sugababe member Jade also sported a white, albeit questionable, frock, while Cheryl Cole went for a white mac for her stage perfromance of “Fight for this Love”.

The Sugababes model purple scarves in aid of Fight Cervical Cancer in Style

By Andrea Petrou on December 3rd, 2009

sugar-babes-1259795690.jpgThe Sugababes have teamed up with a range of designers to raise awareness about cervical cancer.

Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and newest member of the Sugababes, Jade Ewen, will front the Fight Cervical Cancer in Style campaign. They have also modelled a limited edition purple Fight Cervical Cancer in Style scarf designed by Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker of British fashion emporium PPQ.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Heidi Range said: “Having performed at Jade Goody’s wedding, cervical cancer is a subject we feel passionately about. We are proud to be supporting the campaign as it is important that girls and women realise how they could catch the virus that causes cervical cancer, as well as the steps they could take to reduce their risk.”

And now for the medical bit.

Many women believe that cervical cancer is hereditary, however, almost all cases are caused by a common virus called HPV (human papillomavirus). The virus can be passed on through sexual contact, therefore girls and women are at risk as soon as they start having intimate relationships. The virus is usually cleared naturally by the immune system but sometimes it persists and could lead to cervical cancer.

Currently, eight women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and nearly three women die of the disease every day in the UK. It’s the most common cancer in women aged 20-29 and the second most common cancer in women under 35 years old. It is therefore important that girls and women are made aware of the risks of cervical cancer and the best ways to reduce their risk, including a healthy lifestyle, cervical screening and vaccination against HPV (human papillomavirus).

We think this is a fantastic cause and will definitely be buying one of the scarves to show our support.
