You get some of your greatest shopping ideas from your friends, right? Me too! So for the next few items in our gift guide I’ve kind of copied off of my friend Jill’s Christmas list (maybe I should let her husband know!).
The Frye Harness boots, $198, aren’t going anywhere. They’ve become one of the modern classics of affordable boot styles that you know will stay en vogue for years to come. A little bit cowboy boot, a little bit motorcycle boot, this style takes cues from both of those but makes them cleaner and straighter.
Check out items one through five here, and six through 10 here, or keep reading for 12 through 15!
We’re doing the best of beauty too! Click here for the first 10 beautiful gifts under $200.

Today we bring you numbers six through ten of our twenty fashionable gifts under $200 gift list.
At number six this ruffle-front tunic from 7 For All Mankind, $149. The A-line silhouette on this top is flattering for plenty of body shapes and the sizing is straightforward small, medium and large so you don’t have to be too precise about your BFF’s size.

This year, we know everyone is all about the budget shopping. So we’re compiling four mega gift lists made up entirely of items that cost less than $200. This week is 20 gifts under $200, and the lists will become less expensive as the holidays approach and your money starts running out! Look out for 10 gifts under $100 next week, followed by 50 gifts under $50 and 10 gifts under $10 to fill up those stockings the week before Christmas.
What’s the gift under $200 that’s going to start us off? The Snow-Filled Sky Scarf from Anthropologie, $42. Whimsical and warm, we can’t think of a lady in our lives who wouldn’t love this colorful wool scarf.

With the holidays coming up, there are a lot of family gatherings that require just the right outfit–sophisticated, slightly conservative, but still fashionably you. I remember my first Thanksgiving with my boyfriend’s family and how nervous I was about spending a major holiday with his entire family and, of course, the big question that lurked in my mind: What to wear?? But don’t worry, Anthropologie has just the right collection of sweater and pant couture (a dress is too much and jeans are too casual) to ease your fashion anxiety. I really like this Mountain Air Wrap with tie on the side for $138. It’s stylish, but not flashy, and can be dressy, but the hoodie adds a slight casualness to make you look like the perfect girl to take home to Mom and Dad. Anthropologie’s trouser pants are also very chic and classy. And this sweater would go great with the Idra Brushed Twill Trousers for $118. Another more conservative, but stylish top is the Innovation Mockneck for $98 in Clover and Paprika. The perfect pants to complete the look are these Charcoal wide-leg Top Hat Trousers by Taikonhu for $148. For more outfit picks, continue to the jump.

We decided to raid
Bluefly’s Cold Weather Shop for some discount winter fashions to create a casual look for keeping warm. We chose a muted, but still colorful outfit with blues and grays and a pop of red. The
coat is Kenneth Cole Reaction, $168, and we like the seaming at the waist of the wool spread collar topper. Underneath that you can wear this $78
Design History sweater. In a silk-cashmere knit, this crossover V-neck drapes elegantly down from a pleated nape. The rosette and leaf appliques on the $37
Portolano gloves provide interest on the muted loden. You can keep this embroidered teal
Elizabeth Gillett scarf, $64, on to prevent a chill in that V-neck once indoors. On top? A red cashmere
Portolano beret for $27.

It can be really hard to scrounge together an appropriate work wardrobe when you get your first job, your first office job, sell out to the corporate machine, or score a new, higher-level position. And then once you do you gain weight or lose 10 pounds or spill something on your best suit. Your basic pencil skirt, blazer, that go-to sweater … these are items that constantly need to be replaced because you wear them so often. That’s what the Gap is for, and especially what Gap sales are for. We’ve chosen some workwear staples you should have in your wardrobe that can be pieced together or worn with more stylish, unique pieces in your own closet to mix and match into a more individual ensemble: a classic three-button blazer with modern detailing, a v-neck sweater, black pencil skirt, and wool coat. Click through for more details.

Finally! The weather seems to be changing and I can wear my cute new J.Crew sweaters. I’ve always been partial to happy colors, and this bright poppy sweater is no exception. J.Crew’s cashmere regal lion critter tee is lightweight Italian crewneck cashmere with a 12-gauge knit, and comes to hip length. Cuffs and hem have a rolled edge. And what’s more, it looks and feels divine! At $160.00 it’s a steal, and perfect for fall!
