The trend to employ famous faces as magazine interns continues with the news that Chanel Iman is now working at Teen Vogue.
Last week the model tweeted about her internship at the mag, saying: “U will never guess what i’ve been doing for the last couple of hours. Havin’ a blast interning at Teen Vogue!! Setup there [sic] closet like its mine”.
Also: “Teen Vogue just got a little taste of Chanel Iman flavor in the House!!! Hey lol Teen Vogue rocks!!!”
Sounds like she is having fun.
Chanel is the latest in a string of celebs to hit the glossy intern trail. Bruce Willis’s daughter, Tallulah Belle, recently worked at Harper’s Bazaar, while Sean Avery interned at Vogue.

Emma Watson is on fire at the moment! Not the least of her accomplishments is the August ’09 cover of Teen Vogue. The Harry Potter starlet is having a bumper month with a new campaign for Burberry and a rumored fashion range for UNICEF. For her latest high-fashion stint, she models a variety of designs including a puffy-shouldered plum blouse and floral skirt by Dolce & Gabbana (above).

Look out world! It seems Lauren Conrad wasn’t kidding when she said she was “writing” a novel.
Teen Vogue got their mitts on two pages of the young adult novel titled, L.A. Candy, due out June 16. What’s it about? I hear you ask. Well, it’s about a girl named Jane who moves to Hollywood and lands her own reality show (sounding familiar yet?). Jane soon finds the pressures and pains of being the star of her own somewhat rehearsed reality show a drag.
The weekend brought with it the return of MTV’s newly-revived House of Style. The TV show, which had many of us glued to our screens in the late ’80s/early ’90s, has now partnered with Teen Vogue to bring us all latest from the world of fashion.
Starring Bar Rafaeli and Chanel Iman as co-hosts, the show’s weekend debut prompted mixed reactions from viewers, who felt it was too scripted and perhaps a little too geared towards the teen-set (erm… friendship bracelets, really?!). Here is a snippet from episode one, featuring Rafaeli interviewing Justin Timberlake on the eve of his New York Fashion Week show for William Rast. Click play on video above to watch.
If you’re missing Gossip Girl during it’s holiday hiatus (will Chuck and Blair ever get it together??) then check out this video of Leighton Meester on the set of her Teen Vogue cover shoot. While she doesn’t wear headbands or colored tights as regularly as her GG counterpart Blair, Leighton has a young, fashionable style all her own. We love!
We’ve seen plenty of Elle’s fashion closet on Stylista, but now get a good look at Teen Vogue’s in this video from their Fashion At Work series. Sure the video has tons of good information for girls looking to intern or explore fashion as a career, but we’re more interested in the eye candy – those shoes! All that American Apparel! Check it out here.
From a Teen Vogue cover with “Harry Potter” costar Daniel Radcliffe to her own couture spread in Vogue Italia, Emma Watson is certainly moving up in the world of fashion. One might say she has us bewitched. (Sorry, couldn’t help it.) As these images from the September issue attest, she can certainly pull off the couture. We’re thinking the premiere of the final Harry Potter film might require something in this vein.
Whitney Port is the most fashionable star of “The Hills” in our opinion, even if she did mispronounce Givenchy. Now she’s set to launch her own contemporary clothing line called Eve & A this fall.
As we wait for new episodes of Gossip Girl, you can get your aspirational teen fashion fix from Teen Vogue. They take you behind the scenes of their cover shoot with GG star Blake Lively, aka Serena. We’d like to have seen more photos from the shoot and more fashion and less gossip, but it is the name of the game – er, show.

Pink is the New Blog has pictures of Katherine Heigl’s wedding dress to be published in OK! this week. The sleeves look a little floofy in the one picture, but otherwise she looks radiant.
Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that MTV’s The Hills influences the fashion of teenage girls across the country. Yes, this is a little bit scary, but so be it. On the red carpet of their show’s live finale last night Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge were actually fairly good fashion role models. Looking like the cute, barely-20-something’s they are, they all chose short, somewhat bare frocks with Whitney probably looking the most fashion-forward in her tights and ankle boots. Maybe it’s just that she’s more New York style while the other girls stick to their Hollywood, left-coast roots. In another nod to NY, It looks like Lauren and Whitney both have a little Tinsley Mortimer hair going on, too. Continue reading for pictures of that OTHER Hills girl, Heidi Montag.
I think a lot of times when we’re going to go for color, we try to keep the style simple. Or if we’re wearing sequins, we feel most comfortable in black. Well, when Rihanna shot her cover for Teen Vogue all those rules went out the window. Since you don’t have a personal stylist when you’re getting ready, check out this video about how they styled Rihanna for the shoot.
