ShinyStyle Gallery: first look at Thakoon for Target!

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on November 6th, 2008

The Thakoon for Target collection may not be in stores for another month, but now you can start figuring out (and budgeting for) what you want to buy.

Though the collection is coming out around Christmas, they resisted the holiday angle and went more resort. So if you’re not in sunny climes you may want to save these pieces for spring, though there are certainly a few that could work for winter with some layering.

The prints and cool vibe are there, and now for only $20 to $70. Start your shopping engines, even if you’ll be idling a while.

Merry Christmas! Thakoon Panichgul’s sportswear collection for Target will break on Christmas Day.

The line will include lots of prints, which we’re excited about since we’re big fans of the Thakoon print – like the floral inside out dress, $1,250, at right.

Amanda Peet celebrates cover of Gotham Magazine with Sarah Paulson

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on August 7th, 2008

Amanda Peet was out in about in New York without hubbie David Benioff. But it looks like pal Sarah Paulson was happy to keep Peet company for the evening at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate Peet’s Gotham Magazine cover.

She also had the company of the designer of her dress, Thakoon Panichgul.

“She chopped it off by like six inches! It was longer, and it looks amazing,” he said. “She loves to wear short things.”

On fashion week a mere month away Panichgul said “I don’t know if it’s excitement. But it’s something!”

Tomorrow the madness of New York Fashion Week begins, but before we disappear into the tents of Bryant Park we wanted to take a moment to focus on what’s expected to come down the runway. Gap fashion is as easy as one, two, ThreeAsFour!

By Andrea Thatcher on January 29th, 2008

ThreeasFour.jpg

Just when we were picking on the Gap, they go and do something cool. It looks as if the mass retailer has signed ThreeAsFour for a collaboration.

The fruits of that collaboration should be available come spring, also when you can check out GapBody for pieces designed by Marie-Amelie Suave.

We think the black skinny pants at left would be a good idea for refashioning for Gap shoppers. We hope this collection lives up to the hype more than the famed Doo Ri, Rodarte, and Thakoon white shirts.
