The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford has admitted that while she doesn’t want surgery right now, she wouldn’t rule it out for the future – because she doesn’t want to grow old gracefully. To be honest Frankie, you’re no way near having to worry about surgery…
Frankie said: “I wouldn’t rule cosmetic surgery out. Never say never. I always joke and say I’m not going to grow old gracefully. But you never what you’re going to do.”
Frankie is incredibly slim, but insists that she has the same body issues as any other young woman does.
She said: “It’s the same with any group of mates. You look around and think, ‘She’s got a nice stomach or boobs or bum.’ It’s the same with us. I look at Mollie, who’s got the skinniest, longest legs and I’m like, ‘Argh, you cow.’ I’m not a massive fan of my legs. But Millie is the same about my tummy. You can’t help it. We’ll look at a picture of ourselves and go, ‘Yuck! I look horrible,’ and they all go, ‘What are you talking about? You look gorgeous.’”
Well, we really don’t think the Saturdays have anything to worry about, at ALL. Just keep away from the surgeon’s knife, Frankie – no one wants you to look like Joan Collins.
Frankie Sandford wants to grow her hair.
The Saturdays singer’s stylist is tired of people asking for the same short crop as his famous client, so the pair are now preparing to work on a new look for the brunette beauty.
Asked if she wants long hair again, Frankie said: “Yeah. My hair stylist Nick says he’s cut this short hairstyle on too many people now.
“He’s like, ‘We need to change your hair, everyone’s got it.’ ”
Frankie also admitted she is not happy with her figure, as she doesn’t think her curves are in proportion.
She explained to more! magazine: “I’m self-conscious of my bottom half. I know I’m not large but it’s something I think about. And I’d quite like bigger breasts.
“I feel quite bottom heavy.”
However, the ‘Up’ hitmaker loves showing off her toned back in skimpy outfits.
She said: “I like my back. I love a strapless dress. That bit of me stays slim and toned.”

It’s pre-awards ceremonies frenzy at the moment. As the music industry’s brightest celebrate the impending Grammys in Los Angeles, some of Britain’s stars of small and silver screen went out to party in London’s Mayfair to celebrate the upcoming BAFTA awards, one of Britain’s most important award ceremonies in the entertainment industry.
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson looked dainty and pixie-ish in a simplistic navy silk button-up dress, which set off her new cropped hair and simple make-up perfectly. Also spotted leaving the event was film’s new wondergirl Hailee Steinfield, who’s been wowing critics with her performance in the new western blockbuster True Grit. We can’t comment on her acting, but we can certainly comment on her dress – a beautiful little black dress with white origami detail on the sleeve. How depressing that someone so much younger than us should dress so much better than us too.
Fashion car-crash/genius Paloma Faith was also there for the swanky party in Mark’s Club, looking typically mental/amazing as usual in a leopardprint coat, floor-skimming red fringed skirt and My Fair Lady-esque hat. It’s always a pleasure seeing what she’ll wear out next.
Meanwhile, just down the road, opera babe Catherine Jenkins was spotted leaving Mahiki with her rugby boyf Gethin Jones, looking a bit like Audrey Hepburn in a simple black skater dress which showed off her enviable figure perfectly. Saturdays’ singer Rochelle was also seen outside the Mayfair Hotel for Aston Merrigold’s birthday casually flaunting a quilted Chanel bag and little black dress. Lucky thing.

While the fashion elite were showing off their outfits at Fashion Night Out, other celebrities took to the London streets for a night of events, partying and work.
Preeya Kalidas and Sinitta turned up in sequined dresses for the Mobo awards launch at the Mayfair hotel, while Tulisa of N-Dubz opted for a strapless white dress for the event. At a GAY signing Alexandra Burke showed off her pins in a cute gold satin dress and Nikki Sanderson and Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays continued this trend on their nights out.
Earlier in the day working celebrities including Holly Willoughby and Christine Bleakely stepped out looking chic, Holly in an on-trend biker jacket and Christine in her trademark skinny jeans, while Lisa Snowden went for a LBD for an M&S launch.
It was fairly quiet on the celebrity front in London over the weekend, as stars either decided to stay in and rest or jet off across the pond from some US action.
However, there were some ladies that decided to stick around. Victoria Beckham decided to fly into London, turning up for dinner at Gorden Ramsey’s Maze restaurant with BFF Eva Longoria. Both women looked stunning with Posh opting for a sexy black cocktail dress, while Eva went for a silver boatneck shift number.
Whilst they dressed up, other celebs went for a more casual look. Katy Perry stepped out of her London hotel in a on-trend camel jumper and jeans, while Geri Halliwell opted for denim at a charity event. However she accessorised her outfit with a giant yellow snake a la Britney Spears. X Factor runner up Stacey Solomon went for skinny jeans for an appearance on This Morning as did Kelly Brook for the Mayor’s Skyride event.
In the heart of London Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays went for smart shorts for a night out, which she teamed up with gladiator heels and a smart blazer.
Alexandra Burke may have hit the headlines for having a very public snog with Kelly Brook’s ex Danny Cipriani, but it didn’t stop her looking glam when she was spotted at Heathrow airport this weekend. The X-Factor winner arrived back into London from Glasgow where she had been performing on at the In:Demand concert in skinny jeans, a printed tee and a waistcoat. She finished off the look with funky square glasses.
Alex was also joined at Heathrow by The Saturdays starlets Una Healy and Vanessa White. Una opted for a bodycon skirt, festival hat and boots while Vanessa went for casual jeans and Ugg boots.
In the centre or London Leona Lewis showed off her curves in a tight pencil skirt and crop top at Whisky Mist, while Coco Summer went for the preppy look in a blazer, shorts and brogues to celebrate her birthday at Nobu.
However, the best dressed prize of the weekend goes to Paloma Faith who turned up at the Radio 1 studios in quirky yellow platforms, a multi-coloured waistcoat and a statement headpiece to rival Lady Gaga’s.
Yesterday was a day of vintage fashions as celebrities hit London town for a range of events.
Lily Allen started the trend with a cute 50s tea skirt and blouse on her way to the Matches store launch party, while Coco Summer turned up at the same event in this look with a floral blazer and red playsuit. However she was sporting a rather un-fetching black eye.
And it was also a day for fashion launches with Liam Gallagher turning up with his partner Nicole Appleton, who looked gorgeous in a red coat, for the launch of his Pretty Green pop-up shop in Carnaby street.
Across London Fearne Cotton continued the vintage look with a cute 80s style dress, which she bought bang into 2010 trend with her moccasins and of course, those socks and Ali Bastian also gave a nod to vintage with a 50s style floral frock for her appearance at GMTV.
However, not everyone followed the vintage look. The Saturdays singers instead went for a punk look, with Una Healey opting for a cropped tee, teeny skirt and zebra sandals for a night out at Mahiki. She was joined by fellow group member Mollie King who opted for a highwaisted skirt and gladiator sandals for her night out on the town.
The Saturdays girls are rarely out of the spotlight with many of the group being snapped on a regular night out.
Although all of them have great dress sense, the one that stands out to me is Mollie King.
The starlet never seems to put a fashion foot wrong, opting for a style that is often casual, yet has little twists, such as highwaisted shorts, high shoes and accessories, give her look a smart tone too.
However, she also plays the dress down look well too, pairing casual tops with on trend denim shorts or teaming up a nautical frock with a denim shirt.
Here’s how to get her look.
As we’ve said before celebrities don’t need an excuse to party and it seems days of the week don’t matter either, with many taking to the streets of London for a night out and for press conferences (ok we suppose that counts as working).
First on the scene was Katie Price who turned up in a black leather jacker to steal the limelight support, her best friend and make-up artist Gary Cockerill for the launch of his new book From Coal Dust To Stardust.
Ex Eastender star Preeya Kallides was also out and about yesterday showing off her fashion sense in a cute floral frock, which she matched up with a black peep toe’s and black bag, while her fellow Eastender colleague Kara Tointon opted for an 80s midi frock at the Burn the Floor press launch. And once again Fearne Cotton wowed us in a monochrome maxi dress on the way to work.
However, one celebrity couple that most definitely weren’t working last night were Saturday singer Rochelle Wiseman and JLS frontman Marvin, who stepped out of the Mayfair hotel for a night on the town.
Last night the Saturdays performed a show at the O2 arena to celebrate the first birthday of charity The Transformation Trust, a foundation that focuses on providing extra-curricular activities and opportunities for children in secondary schools as a motivational tool. The concert was free for young people around the country (how jammy is that – maybe I should go back to secondary school and be as lazy as possible to see if I can get into free gigs) and featured other big names on the line-up such as Tinchy Strider, Eliza Doolittle and X-Factor’s Stacey Solomon, who led the crowd in a chorus of “Happy Birthday to you” in honour of the charity.
The Saturdays looked a bit like a girl-band rainbow yesterday, each sporting a super body-con skirt in a different colour teamed up with little white tops to show off their enviable tans. Their white heeled trainers they all sported gave the outfits a cool, sportswear edge on an otherwise hyper-girlie outfit. Check the gallery below to check out what the girls were wearing, and pieces you can find to copy their look.

We’ve been having a regular celeb get the look series over here at ShinyStyle and don’t worry we’re not getting rid of that anytime soon. However today we thought we’d mix it up a bit and give you some hot hair tips to help you get the looks of celebrities Kate Moss, The Saturdays and Florence Welch who all brought their own unique hair styles to the Isle of Wight Festival last the weekend. We spoke to top hairdresser Lawrence Anthony, at Want The Look who told us how to recreate these celebrity styles at home or for all the upcoming summer festivals.
View the gallery below to see the celeb’s hair in full flowing action.
Kate Moss
Festival favourite Kate is sporting her usual messy rock’n'roll look but it’s a much longer style thanks to the addition of her new blonde extensions. This boho babe look can be recreated using clip-in hair extensions. Balmain has a great range available in different shades. To get Kate’s textured style roughly dry hair using a body boosting product such as TIGI Queen for a Day. Finish with everyone’s festival favourite TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secret to give your hair a lived in look.
Frankie Sandford
This Saturday is on trend with a strong A-symmetrical haircut. Frankie’s short, strong undercut style works really well with her rich chocolate hair colour. To achieve her stylish look apply Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream and blow-dry hair to one side using a paddle brush. Finish with Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray.
Una Healy from The Saturdays
To recreate Una’s gorgeous flowing locks simply apply a volumising spray, such as Kerastase Volumactive Expansion Spray to give your hair some oomph at the roots and Ciment Thermique to protect your hair from heated styling tools. Blast hair dry and pin it in some big Velcro rollers, set with TIGI S-Factor Vivacious Hairspray. Next, use a heated styling wand to give yourself some more defined curls. Take random sections of hair to mix it up and keep things less uniformed. Top with a cute daisy chain headband for a real hippy festival vibe.
Florence Welch.
This iconic singer is recognised for her fiery-hued hair just as much as her amazing vocal chords and she always works her glam disco look well. To recreate Florence’s style apply Aveda Confixor Liquid Gel to damp hair and blow-dry using a large barrel brush to achieve maximum root lift. Run a styling iron over your thick fringe to keep it looking sleek and then again to create a wave in the hair from the mid-lengths down. Give hair some texture and separation with Aveda’s Defining Whip.
Last night celebs were once again out in force enjoying the summer weather and it seems the girl bands were out in force. The Saturdays singers Frankie Sanford and Mollie King stepped out of the Mayfair Hotel – Frankie in jeans and a white tassel top and Mollie in a cute lace top with shorts and skyscraper heels – to enjoy a night out in London. They were followed by Sugababe singer Amelle Barrabah who, like Frankie opted for skinny jeans, which she teamed up with a short white off the shoulder top.
Also going for the skinny jeans look was a teeny tiny Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud who teamed tup her denim with cute ballet shoes and a short sleeved jacket.
Across the other side of London Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went for a traditional sari for the London premier of Raavan, while Sophie Anderton went for a mish mash of a bright cowel neck dress, fishnet tights and boots, which worked perfectly.
