Gap announces UK website

By admin on August 12th, 2010

Stand by your laptops ladies, Gap has just announced it’s launching an online store in the UK this year.

The retailer will be joining the likes of Zara, which is launching its UK online store on 2 September and H&M, which will follow on September 16 to bring us all the delights of the store straight to our fingertips.

According the WWD, the store, which already has a transactional site stateside, will roll out its online venture to to around 65 other countries – including the UK. And it will also be launching online stores for its sister company, Banana Republic.

Oh dear, with three great stores moving online there’s no hiding from the huge possibilities. We’d better hide those credit cards.

Zara launches limited edition sandals

By Andrea Petrou on December 14th, 2009

zara.jpgWe love limited edition ranges. Not only do they mean we’ll be less likely to bump into someone wearing the same thing but we also love the thrill of queueing and grabbing the latest limited edition must have.

So you can imagine how excited we are at the news of Zara’s limited-edition sandal.

The 1000 NUMBERED Edition is a high-heel black suede sandal with thick metal chains and comes in a specially-designed box with its own black cloth carrying bag.

But you’d better hurry as there are only 1,000 pairs of the £129 shoes available in 45 cities worldwide. We’ll race you to the checkouts.

Zara announces online shopping site

By Andrea Petrou on September 25th, 2009

zara.jpgIf you’re a regular reader of ShinyStyle then you’ll know how much I love online shopping. It’s quick and easy and you can do it any time of the day.

I’ve been known to spend a fortune in the wee hours of the morning when insomnia has taken its toll (well beats watching re-runs of Jeremy Kyle).

However one shop I haven’t been able to attack is Zara. I’m not sure why but these Spanish brands don’t like to put their items online (Mango has only just recently made its fashions available to UK users through Asos).

But there’s good news (not for my credit card) as Zara has announced that it plans to launch a transactional website, so we can buy the Zara range online for the first time across Europe and the UK.

The estimated launch date for the retailer’s website is the middle of next year meaning we fashionistas will be able to buy the autumn/winter 2010 collection from the comfort of our beds.

Mango continues worldwide expansion with MNG Manhattan flagship

By Andrea Thatcher on November 27th, 2007

British high fashion retailer Mango is trying to keep up with the worldwide expansion of it’s competitors, though it’s falling short behind fellow European shop Zara which already has 25 US stores. Our sister site Catwalk Queen reports that the new Manhattan flagship store features a 97-foot-long catwalk filled with mannequins surrounded by 80-year-old chairs which they rescued from an old cinema in Barcelona. Pretty cool!
