Ashley%20Tisdale.jpgOk, so yes, high-waisted pants are back in, but I think these are a bit much! Ashley Tisdale was on TRL Monday, wearing these charcoal button-accented pants, but they shouldn't even be called 'high-waist'--they're up to her boobs! My grandma doesn't even wear pants that high... I don't know, maybe someone else could pull them off though, like Christina Aguilara. Or maybe that's just the wrong kind of shirt to be wearing with them? Whatever it is, I think she looks terrible. What do you think--yay or nay?

Jennifer Lopez: Yay or Nay?

Is she pregnant? Is she not? Then I heard she tripped on stage Monday night. Lots of buzz surrounding Jennifer Lopez, lately. Last night at her album release party at the NY hotspot Buddakan, she was dressed head to toe in black. Hiding a bump perhaps? I can't see much detail about her outfit but what I can see I'm loving--the black leather leggings. They are super sexy paired with that chunky black heel--I want them right this minute! They remind me of something Catwoman or Angelina wore in Lara Croft Tomb Raider. Maybe I need some overly confident female threads! What do you say to the uber sexy leather legging--yay or nay?

Chantelle Houghton: Yay or Nay?

This was just too good NOT to share! Here is reality TV star Chantelle Houghton at the BT Digital Music Awards on Tuesday. For those of you who don't know her, she was the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2006 UK. I'll start with the dress because it's cute and in style and then the shoes and the silver clutch--also totally normal. As a matter of fact, a really easy outfit to replicate for a night out on the town. But then there's the hair--which looks like something out of a horror film. Unwashed, over-dyed and stringy galore. Someone get her a comb!

Moschino sandal: yay or nay?

It's a sandal right? Or a pump? Actually, maybe it's a slingback! Oh no wait, it must be an open toed sha-bootie! Actually, now I'm really confused. What IS this? This "what is it?" style can be found in every store and I'm just not in love! For example, this gray Moschino pair is being described as a "sandal" and is available for $440 at Nordstrom. But it's a hefty investment for a shoe that is still searching for an identity. What do you say? Yay or Nay?

By Francine silk tunic--yay or nay?

What's the deal with this By Francine silk tunic? Is it ugly or so ugly that it's cool? I just can't get past the extravagant bow. I've seen a lot of geometric patterns this season, which I'm ok with, but coupled with the color combo and the large bow I'm not loving it. I do like the oversized kimono sleeves and shirt concept--it's very 1960s vintage. Is it worth the $328 though? What do you say, yay or nay and why?

More Ballet Flats? Yay or Nay?

flat.jpg

With another season of ballet flats, our pirouettes should be stellar! Well, newsflash: mine aren't. I never got into them, really. But I did find a cute selection online at Delia's—particularly flannel, that are available in navy plaid (as shown) red plaid, solid grey and oatmeal. And the price is right—US$29. I would throw them on with opaque leggings and an oversized sweater (and maybe a belt) or with one of this season's hottest trends—a pencil skirt. Flats are certainly more preferable for walking around an office around all day. But then again, our girly figures always seem better presented in heels—taller and longer! So what do you think—should I start tutu shopping and let ballet flats into my life? Yay or Nay and why?

Yay or Nay: cap toe pumps

cap%20toe.jpg

Perhaps more 80's style coming back to haunt us, or taunt a new generation, cap toe heels are everywhere for fall. What do you think of this color-block style? It's easy to go too childish or too matronly with these designs, so we'd recommend paying attention to the shape of the toe. More modern rounded points or peep-toes are flattering, as are slimmer heels. The pair above, by Guess for $110, are a bit flashy with the loud plaid pattern. What do you say, yay or nay?

Yay or Nay: Suspenders

Agyness.jpg

Suspenders. They're cute on the very young - think your toddler cousin in his best OshKosh B'Gosh - and the very old - Santa. But what about those in between? Does model Agyness Deyn pull of the look, above, at the British Fashion Council Fashion Forward party? It certainly is fashion forward, and works for Deyn's lythe frame with the vintage shirt and slim Preen trousers. And hey, it got her on Vogue's best dressed list. Have you tried to rock the look? Let us know if you love it or hate it and why in the comments below.
